Director

Prashanth Neel

made his directorial debut in 2014 with the film '

Ugramm

', and following the '

KGF

' venture, he is now making '

Salaar

Part 1: Ceasefire' which stars

Prabhas

and Prithviraj in the lead roles. The film is all set for its release tomorrow in theaters. Though the movie's plot has been revealed to the fans, it is between two friends.
Though the producer of the film already made a statement that both movies have no connection and said that it was all a rumor, director Prashanth Neel recently, in a media interview, claimed that it is not a remake of the film 'Ugramm' but a re-telling of the story with strong characters. Prashant Neel said that he always envisioned the audience watching Ugramm in theaters that were fully packed, but as it was pirated ahead of the release, he couldn't move forward without doing justice to the film's story.
Speaking about 'Salaar', he said that the film is not an exact remake but is a mix of Ugramm story and KGF filmmaking. The director also said that he wanted the film to reach heights like KGF and has made enough changes to the main characters that will suit the style of Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. He also added that if people criticize him, saying that it is a mix of Ugramm and KGF, he will take it only as a compliment.
