Powerball jackpot surpasses $600 million after weekend drawing

NEW YORK (PIX11) – The Powerball jackpot has officially surpassed $600 million, becoming the second jackpot this year to accomplish the feat.

The jackpot is now up to $645 million ahead of Monday night'sdrawing. It will be the 33rd drawing since someone hit the jackpot on New Year's Day, which was worth $824 million.

If you're lucky enough to pick all winning numbers, you can choose the option of the lump sum payment of $307 million before taxes.

The Mega Millions drawing for a jackpot of $875 million will be held Tuesday.
