The new exam date for NEET PG 2024, postponed last minute on June 22, is expected to be announced this week, causing significant anticipation among students.
The National Eligibility Entrance Test (Postgraduate) (NEET PG) 2024 exam date is expected to be announced this week. The original exam was postponed on June 22, just hours before it was scheduled to begin, causing widespread concern among students and casting doubt on the efficiency of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
The postponement of NEET PG came amid controversies surrounding the NEET UG paper leak and the cancellation of the UGC-NET. The abrupt change led to significant criticism from applicants across India.
One aspirant lamented that she had travelled 600 km for the exam and it was postponed the night before it was scheduled to take place.
IMA'S RESPONSE AND GOVERNMENT REFORMS
The Indian Medical Association (IMA), representing over 3.5 lakh doctors, commented on the situation, noting that the difficulties faced by NEET PG students are a consequence of the welcome reforms by the government.
The IMA urged the government to take swift action to ensure that counselling for admission in Medical, Dental, and other courses begins on time.
