CHELSEA, Manhattan (PIX11) --- Police officers shot an armed man in Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
The incident happened on West 24th St. between Seventh and Eighth avenues in Chelsea at around 2:45 p.m., according to the NYPD.
The man was rushed to the hospital but his condition is unknown.
The suspect and the cops were involved in a struggle before the shooting, police said. A gun was recovered at the scene, authorities said.
