JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a man wanted in connection to an attempted rape in Jackson Heights last Friday.
The incident happened around 5:45 a.m. on Jan. 24 near 31-31 94th Street, according to the NYPD.
A 32-year-old woman was walking when she was approached from behind by an unknown man, police say. The man allegedly put a handkerchief over the victim's mouth and threatened to kill her.
The victim was shoved onto the ground and the man started to take off her clothing before running away, police say. The victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
The NYPD released a video of the suspect caught on surveillance.
