Police officer run over by car during traffic stop in Harlem: NYPD

HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) – Police are searching for two men accused of running over an officer during a traffic stop in Manhattan on Jan. 23, according to the NYPD.

Officers stopped a Toyota Highlander near Harlem River Drive and West 159th Street around 6:03 p.m., according to authorities. That's when the car took off, hitting one of the officers, police said.

The car was last seen traveling north on Harlem River Drive, according to authorities.

The officer was taken to the hospital for neck and back pain, police said.
