BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A police officer was injured during a pursuit on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway overnight Friday, according to the NYPD.
The pursuit began after officers saw a suspect breaking into a car in Brooklyn, police said. The officers followed the suspect to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway.
Three police cruisers were struck during the pursuit, according to authorities. The suspect was able to flee the officers at Exit 23, police said.
An officer was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to authorities.
