UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) -- An NYPD officer was taken to a hospital after being hit by a car on the Upper East Side on Wednesday, according to officials.
The officer was struck around 4:30 p.m. on Park Avenue between East 71st and 72nd streets, police said.
The officer was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries, according to the NYPD. The extent of the officer's injuries was not immediately clear.
