NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Investigators have located the suspect wanted in connection with a dismembered body found inside a fridge in a Brooklyn apartment in January.

Nicholas, McGee, 45 is currently being held in Virginia in connection with another crime, according to the NYPD. This comes after authorities received a CrimeStoppers tip on Jan. 24 and performed a wellness check at the apartment on Nostrand Avenue.

Inside the apartment, officers noticed a taped-up fridge and discovered the dismembered body of a man, authorities report. A woman with several open warrants for theft was also found in the apartment.

Police arrested Heather Stines, 45, and she was charged with concealment of a human corpse.

Authorities report that the victim was reported missing in 2022 by his mother, police said. It is believed that the victim was beaten with a hammer and cut up, authorities said. Officials ruled the victim's death a homicide, authorities said.

It is unclear if McGee was transported back to New York.
