Pokhran resident found dead in creek

THANE: A 42-year-old man was found

dead

inside the

Parsik Retibunder

creek, Thursday evening, civic officials said.
The body was spotted floating in the waters near the railway bridge around 4pm by local residents following which the authorities were alerted.
The deceased has been identified as Shivai Nagar resident, D Dhoke. The body was fished out by the rescue team and sent for post mortem, Yasin Tadvi, in-charge at the Thane regional disaster management cell said.
An accidental death case will be registered by the police and investigations will also be launched to ascertain the cause of death, officials said.
