Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid his homage to former Prime Minister and BJP stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 99th birth anniversary. He, along with President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and several other leaders also participated in a programme at the 'Sadaiv Atal' memorial in Delhi to pay his tributes to ex-PM. Vajpayee was born on December 25, 1924, and died on August 16, 2018.

Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud on Monday sang carols at a Christmas Day event that was organised on the Supreme Court premises. BRS leader K Kavita questions Rahul Gandhi's silence over DMK's anti-Hindi rant
Amid the north-side divide debate, BRS leader K Kavitha targeted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi by questioning the "silence" of him on the DMK leader's remark. Speaking to the news agency PTI, Kavitha said, " "It is not about one particular party's views, it is about how these kinds of statements are going to disturb the fabric of our nation and which alliance is this particular party a part of. It is a part of the INDIA bloc, which is led by Rahul Gandhi's Congress," she said. "Rahul Gandhi continuously keeps making a lot of statements about Bharat Jodo Yatra where he is constantly trying to unite the nation. Now, it looks like a PR stunt because he should have stood up, spoken when comments were made on Sanatana Dharma, which has hurt Hindu sentiments," she added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu were among the leaders who paid their tributes to former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 99th birth anniversary today, December 25, at the 'Sadaiv Atal' meorial in Delhi. A good orator, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the popular face of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and then the Bharatiya Janata Party. His acceptability beyond ideological boundaries was a key reason behind the BJP drawing support from many parties as he ran a successful coalition government from 1999 to 2004.
