WILLIAMSBURG, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A Williamsburg pharmacy is in ruins and 10 families displaced after a fire burned through the building Saturday night.

The fire broke out at a three-story building on Graham Avenue near Metropolitan Avenue around 10:30 p.m., according to the FDNY. The fire was initially on the top floor of the building which contains homes, fire officials said.

Video of the fire shows flames bursting out the windows of the building's top floor. Fire officials said the fire spread to two other buildings, which are row frame buildings "made entirely of wood," according to the FDNY.

“Top floor like, completely, flames coming out of every window. It’s the biggest fire I’ve ever seen,” said one man who lives nearby.

Some 200 firefighters responded to the blaze, which burned for at least an hour, according to the FDNY.

"Our units worked with an aggressive interior fire attack inside these buildings, and that's how we prevented further extension and damage to the other apartments,” said Chief of Fire Operations Kevin Woods.
