Person struck by subway train in Manhattan; multiple lines delayed: MTA

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A person was struck by a subway train in Manhattan on Tuesday, leading to parts of the Nos. 2 and 3 lines being temporarily suspended, according to the MTA.

The FDNY said a person fell on the tracks near the 125th Street subway station around 8:15 a.m. They were taken to a Manhattan hospital.

The person's condition isn't known.

There weren't any Nos. 2 or 3 trains running between Harlem-148th Street/149th Street–Grand Concourse and 96th Street. Southbound No. 2 trains ran on the No. 5 line from 149th Street–Grand Concourse to Nevins Street, the MTA said.

Some northbound No. 3 trains ended at 137th Street-City College on the No. 1 line.

Service on Nos. 2 and 3 trains has since resumed with delays in both directions. No. 1 trains are also experiencing delays.
