Person struck by subway in Queens; No. 7 trains delayed: MTA

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A person was struck by a subway train in Queens on Friday, causing major delays to the No. 7 line, according to the MTA.

It happened at the 69th Street station in Woodside at around 11:51 a.m., according to the FDNY. The individual was taken to a hospital in Elmhurst.

Service is running with delays in both directions. To avoid delays, the MTA recommends taking the E, F, M, or R trains between Queens and Manhattan.
