MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) --- A person was struck by a train in a Manhattan subway station, causing delays on the No. 7 line, according to the MTA.

The incident happened at the 42nd Street–Bryant Park/Fifth Avenue subway station at 9:53 a.m., officials said. The person's condition is unknown.

The No. 7 trains are not running between Queensboro Plaza and 34 St-Hudson Yards, according to the MTA. Commuters should take the E, F, N, R, and W trains for service between Manhattan and Queens.

Twenty-six people have been fatally struck by a subway train as of Monday, police said.

A man fatally pushed a subway rider onto the train tracks at the Lexington Avenue-125th Street subway station in East Harlem at around 7 p.m. Monday, according to the NYPD. Carlton Mcpherson, 24, was charged with murder for allegedly shoving a 45-year-old man onto the tracks as a northbound No. 4 train approached the station, police said.
