Person hit by MTA bus in East Village: FDNY

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- A person was hit by an MTA bus in the East Village on Tuesday afternoon, according to FDNY officials.

"An incident involving an M14A bus was reported at approximately 12:50 pm at the corner of East 14 Street and Third Avenue," A MTA spokesperson said.

Emergency services responded to the 911 call and transported the pedestrian to Bellvue Hospital, officials said.

In one video posted to Citizen, you can see what appears to be a city bus stopped, three police vehicles and an FDNY EMS truck surround the bus.

It remains unclear if the pedestrian suffered any injuries.

The MTA has referred inquiries to the NYPD, as an investigation is ongoing.
