NEW DELHI: With the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium set to debut as one of the

T20 World Cup

venues in the USA, India skipper

Rohit Sharma

visited the new facility after the team's arrival in New York.
Mighty impressed with the stadium, Rohit said that the teams and the fans are going to have a blast at the venue during the World Cup matches.
India take on Bangladesh in their one and only warm-up game on June 1 at the venue.
Rohit & Co then play their three Group A games against Ireland, Pakistan and USA at

Nassau Stadium

before they move to Florida for their final group game against Canada.

"It looks beautiful. It's quite an open ground. When we come here and play our first game, I just can't wait to feel the atmosphere in the stadium," Rohit said.
“It's a decent capacity as well. Hopefully it's gonna be a good one. People in New York will be very interested in coming and watching the World Cup, with the World Cup happening for the first time here.
“I'm pretty sure all the fans across the various teams are quite excited and looking forward to this tournament, and also as players can't wait to get started,” said the India captain.
The 34,000-seater will hosts its first ever World Cup match between Sri Lanka and South Africa on June 3.
