BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Brooklyn Friday morning, authorities said.
Officers responded to a 911 call of an accident involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Wortman Avenue and Georgia Avenue just before 6 a.m., according to the NYPD. A 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A preliminary investigation revealed the victim had gotten out of his vehicle when he was struck by another vehicle that crossed over the double-yellow lines, authorities said. The driver did not remain at the scene, police said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
