Off-duty police officer arrested in Manhattan: Authorities

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – An off-duty New York City police officer was arrested in Manhattan on Friday evening, according to authorities.

The 35-year-old officer was taken into custody at the 23rd precinct around 7:20 p.m.

He faces charges of first-degree rape, second-degree strangulation, and third-degree assault.
