Off-duty NYPD officer arrested in Queens: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- An off-duty New York City employee was arrested Monday afternoon in Queens, according to the NYPD.

Douglas Lopez, 44, an NYPD Police Officer, was taken into custody at around 12:15 p.m.

Lopez was arrested on the charge of leaving the scene of an accident causing injury, police said. The accident took place at around 1:10 a.m. on Sunday in Queens, according to the NYPD.
