NYSP investigates pier fire at Hempstead Lake State Park

NASSAU COUNTY, Long Island (PIX11) -- Police are asking for public assistance after a large wooden pier was found on fire at a state park in Hempstead on Friday night.
Law enforcement responded to Hempstead Lake State Park and found the Lakeview Fire Department putting out the fire at around 11:30 p.m.
Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact New York State Police investigators at (516) 743-4168.
