NYPD officers rescue man from oncoming subway train in the Bronx

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- NYPD officers rescued a man who fell onto the subway tracks at a station in the Bronx on Tuesday.

The ordeal occurred at around 5:36 p.m. A man suffered a medical episode and fell into the tracks, just inches away from the third rail, police said.

Despite an oncoming train rapidly approaching, the officers jumped into the tracks and got the man to safety in 15 seconds.

The rescue was captured from a body-worn camera.
