NYPD officers fatally shot man in Queens: sources

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) --- NYPD officers shot a man while responding to a call about an emotionally disturbed person in Queens on Wednesday, according to police and law enforcement sources.

The incident happened in a building at 101-12 103rd St. in Ozone Park at around 1:40 p.m., police said. The man's parents called 911 for his erratic behavior, sources said.

The man was waving a pair of scissors and came towards the officers before they opened fire, killing him, sources said.
