TIMES SQUARE, Manhattan (PIX11) -- Streets around one of New York City’s biggest tourist spots will be closed to cars and open to pedestrians this weekend.
The Times Square Summer Fair will bring more than 50 food venders and over 300 merchandise booths to Seventh Avenue this Saturday. Visitors can shop everything from handmade metal statues and jewelry to African baskets and fashions, according to organizers.
Event hosts call the Times Square Summer Fair a “welcome break for all to enjoy the streets without cars, bikes and construction sites.”
If you’re planning to drive or ride into the city, the following areas will be closed to traffic:
- Seventh Avenue between 47th Street and 57th Street
