NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- Times Square was named the world's worst tourist trap, according to a new survey.
The Big Apple's most popular tourist attraction was called "overrated" and "stressful" by over a thousand reviewers, the study revealed. The online learning platform, Perply, analyzed visitor reviews for over 80 tourist locations around the globe to rank the destinations.
Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, Germany was ranked the second worst tourist trap, and the Effiel Tour in Paris, France follows behind it in third place.
On the flip side, Switzerland’s Lake Caumasee was named the world's least stressful tourist destination followed by Uluru in Australia and Monastiraki Market in Athens, Greece.
