NYC has most expensive but best reputation for pizza in the US: data

NEW YORK (PIX11) – New York City has the most expensive pizza in the country, according to data from ListWithClever.com.

The average price of a large cheese pizza in the Big Apple is $28.60. A pepperoni pizza alone costs an average of $33.65 in the city, according to the data.

Chicago has the second most expensive pizza with an average of $27.66 for a cheese pie.

Despite the price, New York City still ranks at the top for the best reputation for pizza. It's one of the top five pizza cities for 41% of Americans, the data showed.

New York-style thin-crust pizza also reigned supreme over Chicago-style deep-dish pizza, being favored by 58% of Americans.
