NEW YORK (PIX11) -- A new, temporary 13-member commission will review New York City's charter and may propose changes to voters.

Carlo Scissura, chair of the commission, sat down with PIX on Politics host Dan Mannarino to discuss the commission's purpose, goals, transparency, and the power struggle between Mayor Eric Adams and the City Council.

Scissura also responded to claims from some elected officials that Mayor Adams has created a tight-knit circle of "yes men" and "yes women."

"Anybody who knows me will tell you the last thing I am is a 'yes man.' I don't work for the mayor. I am an independent voice," said Scissura.
