NEW YORK (PIX11) – Changes are coming to beauty schools in New York. They will now have to include more training on how to style textured hair.
A new state law in New York is requiring cosmetology schools to make natural hair and textured hair part of their curriculum, including educating students on different hair types.
PIX11’s Arrianee LeBeau spoke with a salon owner about the push to make sure all graduates, regardless of their race, know how to care for every type of hair.
