No trash, compost, recycling collection in NYC on Memorial Day: DSNY

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Trash, curbside compost and recycling will not be collected in New York City on Memorial Day next week, the Department of Sanitation announced.

New York City residents who normally have their trash, curbside compost or recycling collected on Mondays should put their material at the curb Monday evening so it can be collected beginning on Tuesday, according to the Department of Sanitation.

The Department of Sanitation warned that some residents may experience collection delays due to a backlog of material after the holiday.
