NJ Transit raises $10K for bull rescued from train tracks

SUSSEX COUNTY, N.J. (PIX11) – The animal sanctuary that is caring for a bull who was rescued from train tracks was given a $10,000 check from NJ Transit.

Ricardo the bull had escaped captivity back in December and ran down railroad tracks at Newark Penn Station, causing delays, officials said.

How does Leap Day work?

NJ Transit sold Ricardo plush dolls to raise money for Skylands Animal Sanctuary and Rescue in Sussex County.

The sanctuary provides a home for more than 400 animals.
