NJ Transit announces some services suspended due to weather conditions

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) -- Weather conditions have caused some NJ Transit lines to be suspended, the public transportation system announced Sunday evening.

"The Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line rail service is suspended in both directions due to weather-related issues near Newark International Airport," read an alert on the transit systems website. "NJ Transit rail tickets and passes are being cross-honored by NJ Transit bus and private carrier bus and PATH at Newark Penn Station, Hoboken, and 33rd Street-New York."

Officials said Newark Light Rail service is also suspended in both directions between Grove Street and Park Avenue due to flooding near the Park Avenue station.
