NJ hotel to close after 40 years in business: report

WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J. (PIX11) – A New Jersey hotel will soon be closing its doors after around 40 years in business, according to a report.

Hilton Woodcliff Lake in Bergen County will cease operations by the end of February, NJ.com reported.

The hotel was sold to a development group, which plans to turn the property into a redevelopment project for housing, NorthJersey.com reported.

Pyramid Global Hospitality, which serves as the third-party management company for Hilton Woodcliff Lake, said the hotel would close on Feb. 26, according to NJ.com.

Pyramid Global Hospitality said it was only recently notified that the new owner planned to close the hotel, NJ.com reported.

The abrupt closure has forced people to reschedule events that were planned to be held at the hotel, according to NJ.com.
