The Direct comes on the heels of Microsoft's announcement last week that it plans to bring more
Xbox exclusives

Nintendo Switch
. While no specific titles were confirmed, rumours suggest games like Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, Halo, and Gears of War may make their way to Nintendo's console.

YouTube
on 2/21 at 6 AM PT for around 25 mins of info focused on Nintendo Switch games coming in the first half of 2024 from our publishing and development partners,” read the post shared on X.
In its announcement, Nintendo stated the Partner Showcase Direct will run approximately 25 minutes and focus on Switch games coming from third-party publishers and developers in the first half of 2024.
While Nintendo stated the Direct will focus on partner titles, some surprise first-party reveals could still materialize. Fans eagerly await any glimpses of new Mario, Zelda, or other Nintendo franchise games.
It remains to be seen if Nintendo will comment on future hardware. Nintendo is reportedly preparing a successor console to the Switch in 2025 following the reported delay of an originally planned 2024 launch.
