NEW YORK (PIX11) – Jews in New York and around the world are getting ready to celebrate Passover.
The holiday starts Monday at sundown with the traditional Passover Seder. Passover commemorates the Israelites' liberation from slavery in Egypt, and their resettlement in Canaan, later known as "the land of Israel."
Passover takes on a special significance this year with the war in Gaza and heightened tensions with Iran.
