According to data collected from consumers in 2023, the top ice cream flavor among New Yorkers is rum raisin. As the name would suggest, the dessert consists of rum-flavored ice cream permeated by raisins, which sometimes come soaked in rum themselves.

The report determined that rum raisin is also the most popular flavor in Florida and Arkansas. Instacart's data showed that tastes appear to change over time, as reports from previous years listed chocolate and pistachio as New York's favorite ice cream.
