New York Mets 2024 home opener postponed due to expected rain

FLUSHING, N.Y. (PIX11) -- The New York Mets 2024 home opener has been postponed due to rain expected in the forecast, the team announced on Wednesday.

The game originally scheduled for Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers will now happen on Friday at 1:40 p.m. The Mets announced that the gates would open at 11:40 p.m.

Fans holding paid tickets for the original game can use them for the rescheduled game.

The team said season ticket members can exchange their Opening Day for a regular season game in the 2024 season at Citi Field until 10:30 a.m. on Friday. At the end of the game on Friday, a digital voucher will be loaded into each attending person's My Mets Tickets account for any unused tickets.
