New Jersey friends split $1 million lottery winnings

TRENTON, N.J. (PIX11) -- Two lifelong New Jersey friends who bought a Powerball ticket in early April are now a million dollars richer.

The men are choosing to remain anonymous but each posed for a picture at New Jersey Lottery Headquarters, holding up a check for $500,000.

One told lottery officials that he would use his winnings to buy a beach house. The other plans to save his newfound fortune for retirement.
