BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) – It's time for your taste buds to boogie; Chick-fil-A is opening a new location in the Bronx.
The new location will open its doors on Thursday at 201 East Fordham Road. The new location in the Boogie Down Bronx is the second for the borough and is owned and run by Roberto Ruiz.
To celebrate, the company is recognizing 100 local heroes in the Bronx community by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year. The restaurant will also donate $25,000 to a local Feeding America partner food bank in the New York City community.
Hours for the new chicken spot will be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Saturday.
“As a Mexican immigrant, I’ve always dreamt of being an entrepreneur and living the American dream, and the unique local owner-operator model at Chick-fil-A allows me to live out my dream,” said Ruiz. “I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to make a positive, long-lasting impact on the Bronx and Latino communities and develop passionate leaders.”
