HOBOKEN, N.J. (PIX11) -- A networking event in New Jersey brings music, art and beverages together in a way that highlights local talent in the area.
The event is called Beats, Bartenders, Brushes. On the first Tuesday of every month, the Get Down DJ Group welcomes the community to Wicked Wolf for the networking event in Hoboken.
The organizers find a DJ, a mixologist, and a local artist to showcase their skills every month in an event that spreads good vibes and uncovers talented people in their fields across the area.
The event is also open to DJs who want to come and give a set a try.
"We open it up to everyone! It's all about open decks, baby! Show up, and you might just get to spin some tracks," said Tim Vu with the Get Down DJ Group.
Vu told PIX11 that organizers have a knack for finding talented artists to participate in the event.
"It's all about connecting, having drinks, geeking out over music and art – basically, a night where all the coolest people in town come together for an epic experience," said Vu.
Organizers told PIX11 News they have an exciting lineup for April's show on Tuesday.
"This month, we've got DJ royalty himself, DJ Marty Rock! There's no venue this guy can't conquer...On the bar side, we have Denise Isip, a rising star with a smile as bright as her future! Everyone who's worked with her raves about her genuine hospitality," Vu told PIX11. "And last but not least, we have Megan Grindle Art. This young artist is a total game-changer. Her work pushes the boundaries of realism, capturing the raw beauty of everything she paints. It's seriously captivating!"
Those who want to experience the event but can't make it in person are in luck, as it will be live-streamed on YouTube.
The Get Down DJ Group will have their April events from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and said it will be a great place to listen to music and hang out with people from the nightlife industry.
"The artists we pick are super talented and on the verge of being famous, so get their autograph now," Vu said.
