Near Myanmar border, 150kg of explosives seized

Mizoram-Myanmar international border

seized 150kg of explosives, 1,800 detonators and 3km-long cordtex in

Lawngtlai district

bordering Myanmar, reports HC Vanlalruata.
AR said the explosives were seized along Sangau-Pangkhua road from two people who had hidden them in a Mahindra Bolero heading for Myanmar. Siamthanga and his wife were arrested for possession of and alleged intention to smuggle the weapons to Myanmar.
