NEW YORK (PIX11) -- In honor of National Hot Dog Day, Nathan's Famous is selling its franks for their original price of $0.05.
Customers can only buy two cheap hot dogs each at some locations across New York and New Jersey. The hot dogs will be sold from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. across the country.
Nathan's Famous opened its first location in Coney Island in 1916, at which point the hot dogs were sold for just a nickel. Now, their hot dogs sell for $5.99.

Looking for something a bit more elaborate? At Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge, you can get two 2-foot-long hot dogs for $35 Wednesday in honor of the holiday.
The hot dog is sharable for four people and topped with mustard, relish and sauerkraut.
