​Namma metro services will available till 1.30 am on New Year's eve

New Year Eve

, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will operate

Namma metro

train services till 2.15 am. The last train will be leaving all the terminal stations at 1.30 am on January 1.
During the extended service hours, the trains will be operated at a frequency of 15 minutes. The last trains will be leaving the Majestic interchange station in all the four directions at 2.15 am.
As per the advisory received from the city police, the M G Road metro station will be closed at 11 pm to ensure the safety and security of the public.

However, passengers can use

Cubbon Park

and Trinity metro stations to travel during the extended service hours.
For the return journey from Trinity and Cubbon Park metro stations after 11 pm, passengers can use smart cards, NCMC cards, QR tickets and paper tickets in lieu of tokens. Return journey tickets (paper tickets) can be purchased in advance after 8 pm at any metro stations and are valid for entry only at Trinity and Cubbon Park metro stations after 11 pm.

The BMRCL has advised commuters travelling towards Whitefield (Kadugodi) to use Trinity metro station and those travelling towards Challaghatta, Nagasandra and Silk Institute to use Cubbon Park metro station. Both the stations are located almost one km from M G Road station.
