In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Yuvraj Singh addressed the swirling speculation, stating, "Contrary to media reports, I'm not contesting elections from Gurdaspur. My passion lies in supporting and helping people in various capacities, and I will continue to do so through my foundation You We Can. Let's continue making a difference together to the best of our abilities."
Reports had surfaced earlier suggesting Singh's potential candidacy with the
Bharatiya Janata Party
(BJP) after his recent meeting with BJP leader and Union Minister
Nitin Gadkari
. However, Singh's clarification puts an end to the conjecture surrounding his political ambitions.
