NEW DELHI: The second edition of the
Women's Premier League
(WPL) is set to kick off with a clash between defending champions Mumbai Indians and last year's finalists Delhi Capitals.
The opening match will take place at the
M Chinnaswamy Stadium
in Bengaluru on February 23.

Harmanpreet Kaur
, Mumbai Indians emerged victorious in the inaugural WPL by defeating Delhi Capitals in the final.
Venues for WPL 2: This year, the entire season is scheduled to be held in Bengaluru and Delhi, with the Arun Jaitley Stadium hosting the Eliminator and final on March 15 and 17, respectively.
Road to Final
The WPL will feature a total of 22 matches, and the team finishing at the top of the table will secure a direct spot in the final.
The second and third-placed teams will compete in the Eliminator for a chance to reach the championship decider.
Players to watch out for
Exciting talents such as Kashvee Gautam and Vrinda Dinesh, who were part of the mini-auction where 165 players were bid for the 30 available spots, are expected to showcase their skills in this edition of the Women's Premier League.
