EAST BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a suspect after an on-duty MTA bus driver was assaulted Tuesday morning.
The incident happened around 11:20 a.m. at East 226th Street and White Plains Road.
The 34-year-old driver was parked when the suspect entered the bus, grabbed her, and hit her head multiple times against the bus partition, according to the NYPD.
The suspect then fled on foot heading west on East 226th Street, police said.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The NYPD released the following surveillance photos of the suspect.
