MTA announces new Metro-North schedules

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – Many Metro-North trains running in and out of Grand Central Terminal will soon have new schedules. 

The new schedules start March 30 on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven Lines going into and out of Manhattan. The adjustments include earlier departures, faster commute times, and added stops at Marble Hill and Yankee Stadium, according to the MTA.

The adjusted schedules will allow for track work on all three lines, including switch replacements, the Park Avenue Viaduct renewal and walk bridge replacement between South Norwalk and East Norwalk on the New Haven Line, according to the MTA. 

These are the new train times on the Metro-North starting on March 30:

Hudson Line

  • The 6:13 a.m. train from Poughkeepsie Station to Grand Central Terminal will depart five minutes earlier at 6:08 a.m. and will have a total run time of 94 minutes.
  • The 6:11 a.m. train from Croton-Harmon to Grand Central Terminal will add a station stop at Marble Hill.
  • The 8:11 a.m. train from Croton-Harmon to Grand Central Terminal will add a station stop at Yankees-E. 153rd Street. 
  • Many weekend trains between Poughkeepsie and Grand Central Terminal will not stop at Ossining or Tarrytown Stations.

Harlem Line

  • The 9:52 p.m. train to Wassaic will depart two minutes early from Grand Central Terminal at 9:50 p.m.
  • The 10:31 p.m. train to North White Plains will depart Grand Central Terminal six minutes earlier at 10:25 p.m.
  • The 11:04 p.m. to Southeast will depart Grand Central Terminal 12 minutes earlier at 10:52 p.m.
  • The 11:44 p.m. train to North White Plains will depart Grand Central Terminal 25 minutes earlier at 11:19 p.m.
  • The 12:10 a.m. train to Dover Plains will depart Grand Central Terminal nine minutes earlier at 12:01 a.m.
  • The 12:28 a.m. train to North White Plains will depart Grand Central Terminal nine minutes earlier at 12:19 a.m.
  • The 1:04 a.m. train to Southeast will depart Grand Central Terminal nine minutes earlier at 12:55 a.m. 
  • Two weeknight trains were added to the Harlem Line between Grand Central Terminal and North White Plains.

New Haven Line

  • The 5:06 a.m. train from New Haven to Grand Central Terminal will have an improved run time of 88 minutes.   
  • The 5:32 a.m. train from New Haven to Grand Central Terminal will have an improved run time of 90 minutes and arrive at Grand Central Terminal at 7:02 a.m. 
  • The 7:52 a.m. train from New Haven to Grand Central Terminal will have an improved run time and arrive at Grand Central Terminal at 9:30 a.m.  
  • The 4:16 p.m. train from Grand Central Terminal to New Haven will depart five minutes earlier at 4:11 p.m. and have an improved run time of 90 minutes.  
  • The 4:49 p.m. train from Grand Central Terminal to New Haven will have an improved run time of 90 minutes and arrive at New Haven Station, nine minutes earlier.
  • The 6:26 p.m. train from Grand Central Terminal to New Haven will have an improved run time of 90 minutes, arriving at New Haven Station at 7:57 p.m.
