MUMBAI:

Shiv Sena

(UBT) MP

Sanjay Raut

on Sunday took a dig at regional parties of the INDIA bloc saying that regional satraps were not willing to sacrifice to save

freedom and democracy

.
Raut said that all the regional satraps are sitting taking care of their fiefdoms and Congress, which has sacrificed the most in the freedom struggle, is struggling for its own existence today while no one is ready to allow Congress to enter their territory.

Raut said that the responsibility of making sacrifices in the second freedom struggle against dictatorship has also fallen on the Congress. He made the observations in his weekly column Rok Thok in Saamna, the Sena (UBT) mouthpiece, following the INDIA bloc’s third meeting in New Delhi last week.

Raut also said that PM

Narendra Modi

had proposed the idea of ‘Congress-free India’ but the BJP wants to make ‘opposition free India’ and that India is only 10 years old now.

“How can Prime Minister Modi preach about democracy by chopping the heads of 146 MPs? Ruling by emptying both the houses of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha is like ruling over a crematorium with the ashes of a body. This is a country where democracy will rise from the ashes like the phoenix. No such abominable thing has happened in any democratic country in the world. Modi proposed the idea of ‘Congress-free India’. But they want to make ‘opposition free India’ and that India is only 10 years old today. The great tradition of India is not acceptable to them. India was created after 2014….These people built a new parliament building for that. Many people do not want to go into that Parliament building ...In that new palace, 146 MPs were beheaded and anointed a dictatorship over democracy,” Raut wrote in his column.
