Motorcyclist thrown on sidewalk in Brooklyn hit-and-run: NYPD

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- A motorcyclist was thrown onto the side of the road after a hit-and-run incident in Brooklyn on Sunday, authorities said.

The 29-year-old victim was left on the sidewalk at 3:41 a.m. after the driver of a white van hit him while traveling eastbound on 48th Street, according to the NYPD.

First responders transported the victim to Maimonides Medical Center with serious physical injuries, police said. The victim is expected to survive, police said.
