Fotografiska announced it would be closing Verōnika as the photography museum prepares to relocate from its current location on Park Avenue South to a new space.

“While this marks the end of a beautiful chapter at our Gramercy Park location, we are grateful for the wonderful moments we’ve shared,” a message on Verōnika’s website said. “We invite you to join us for memorable experiences from now until June 15. Come savor the flavors, enjoy the ambiance, and create cherished memories with us.”

Verōnika will remain open for private events until Sept. 29, according to its website.

Verōnika's menu offers “continental European classics with a twist.” Fotografiska described the restaurant as “a feast for the eyes.”

“Dishes are dramatic. Music and grand windows with views of the city complete the picture. A lively, scintillating energy builds into the night,” Fotografiska said.

Verōnika was recently named the “most beautiful” restaurant in the state of New York by OpenTable and People magazine.

“Secreted on the second floor of Fotografiska New York, Veronika embraces a Gilded Age grandeur with arched double-height windows, crushed velvet seating, and brass chandeliers soaring overhead, filling the room with a timeless amber glow,” Andrea Strong wrote for OpenTable in April.

In May, Fotografiska announced its plans to move to a larger location that provides more gallery space and better meets the needs of the museum’s visitors.

As part of the transition, Fotografiska announced it would be closing both Verōnika and Chapel Bar in mid-June.

Fotografiska opened in 2019 at its current location at 281 Park Ave. South. Its final day there will be on Sept. 29. The museum hasn’t yet announced where it will be relocating.
