NEW YORK (PIX11) -- The sunshine pushes on through again Sunday with a high of around 80 degrees.
The weather will become increasingly drier and more comfortable throughout the day. High pressure still sits over our area through tomorrow, locking in the sunny skies and mild seasonable temperatures in the upper 70s.
Tuesday will bring some changes as the region starts to lose the high pressure that became common over the last week. A coastal low that has been offshore of the Carolinas is expected to start moving north toward the region.
Clouds will increase Tuesday with a chance of showers arriving late in the day into Wednesday morning. Temperatures will stay in the upper 70s.
By Wednesday there will be steady showers as humidity also builds. Highs will be in the mid-70s without much temperature variation throughout the day expected. Thursday will still be wet with temperatures a bit cooler in the low-70s.
Friday we should expect a gradual clearing and the nice weather should return by the weekend. Highs will be comfortable around 70.
